Winterbourne House sits in one of the most beautiful and tranquil settings to be found on the island and enjoys stunning views across its enchanting gardens that blaze with colour each season with a stream that gently flows into the blue waters of the bay and the ocean beyond. The beautiful en-suite bedrooms, just like the rest of this stunning house, are immaculately presented with antiques and period furniture and many of the sumptuous bedrooms have stunning views across the beautiful gardens to the ocean beyond. Breakfasting at Winterbourne is a delightful affair where seriously good breakfasts are served in their beautiful dining room. There are two spacious elegant lounges and a secluded terrace, all overlooking the sea and all for exclusive use of guests. The smashing hosts are Andrew and Andy who together with their friendly team of staff work hard to ensure a great stay at the house that Charles Dickens so fell in love with (he wrote the novel David Copperfield here) that he wrote to his wife "My dear Kate, I have not a moment just got back, and post going out. Talking of which, there is a secure yard for cycle storage, surf boards and water skis. Breakfasts are served in their beautiful dining room and there is a super residents' lounge complete with comfy sofas. Three luxury bedrooms, best described as chic apartments, with dining areas, balconies, and the views across Ventnor to the ocean are simply stunning. This house really does live up to its name. In fact, staying at Ocean View House with all the facilities and the beautiful rooms is more like staying in a hotel, and having breakfast served in your room really does give you more privacy. In one of the rooms, you can even lounge in the tub and look at the sea. The atmosphere here, amongst all this luxurious and stylish modernity, is very Mediterranean. Sarah, the incredibly friendly and talented host, has created a very special and unique holiday experience for only the best people to find. The views from Ocean View are simply astonishing. Most importantly they are all equipped with everything right down to the little things that you rarely find but will always need for a fabulous stress-free self catering holiday on the Isle of Wight. The beautiful manicured grounds and lawns here at Clarence House Apartments are just delightful with a friendly relaxed and very romantic atmosphere that just flows effortlessly throughout this place. The incredibly friendly owners Nikki, Will and Virginia really do go that extra mile to ensure your stay with them is something you will wish to do again. Nikki, Will & Virginia told me that they all enjoy sharing their beautiful apartments and stunning location with their guests, many of whom return each year and recommend them to their friends. The Wellington Hotel This fabulous period property stands majestically gazing out across the ocean. Looking out from plethora of balconies and decked areas, you would be forgiven for thinking that you were aboard a luxury liner on the Mediterranean about to berth at some romantic port. Inside is a wonderful mix of traditional architecture with contemporary furnishings in incredibly spacious rooms made bright by huge windows that draw you to the stunning ocean views. The style brief works so incredibly well and it would appear that, amongst all of the tantalising indulgence with the unmistakable Italian influences, cost, it would appear was never the issue here, creating a stylish and unashamedly lavish environment for their many guests.
