The elegant country house atmosphere at Rylstone Manor is intoxicating and flows effortlessly throughout this beautiful hotel. In the sumptuous and elegant drawing room, voluminous drapes frame the pretty views of the grounds through leaded windows and period furniture abounds making it delightful for relaxing at any time and the perfect setting for after dinner coffee and liqueurs. Talking of dinner the food here at Rylstone Manor is seriously good and it’s all prepared with an astonishing passion by Mike the joint owner and chef who was classically trained in Paris. His fabulous food is served with style in the elegant dining room were tables are graced with crisp white linen, fine cutlery and surrounded with period balloon back chairs all gently bathed by chandelier and candle light. Mike and Carole Hailston, the friendly owners who together with their team of staff, encourage all their guests to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings. Just imagine all this elegance, service and style with no children. Simply priceless. |

The bedrooms are bright, airy, comfortable and well equipped, and there are rooms on the ground floor with facilities for the less able guest. The restaurant serves very good quality evening meals and the breakfasts really do set you up for the whole day. What makes Orchardcroft so special is the incredibly laid-back and happy atmosphere of the whole place and the friendly team of staff are welcoming helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. |

The hotel is licensed and provides snacks at the bar; there large restaurant serves very good home cooked food. Pauline and her friendly team of staff have created a relaxed and informal atmosphere. If you are travelling to the island by public transport The Riviera is convenient for both Sandown rail station and buses. No problem with parking here: The Riviera Hotel has a large private car park for its guests. Great stay. |

What makes High Pines so special for me is that apart from the obvious comfort, style and quality of everything provided here, it is without doubt the incredible hospitality and friendliness of Nick the owner whose little finishing touches together with his attention to detail make staying at High Pines very special indeed and something you will wish to repeat again soon. |

Isle of Wight Campers We found these friendly people who hire VW campers on the island by chance, and what a good find and friendly bunch they are. Nothing seams to be to much trouble for them. A fabulous range of campers that are available with more extras than you can shake a stick at. For all you connoisseurs of VW campers, they have Type 2 1970s beautifully restored camper vans and the 2007 Brazilian model. Whichever is your preference, they are all so full of character that we are happy to bet that you will have named yours by the second day of your holiday. We did. They just conjure up fond memories of fun and youth. There are so many fabulous places to explore on this great island. The staff will supply you with a list and present you with a welcome hamper of local yummy produce to boot. |

The Havelock Hotel This is a quintessentially elegant and English hotel that has super wonderful Mediterranean feel aided by its fine location gazing out to sea, the pretty sub-tropical gardens, fabulous swimming pool and its white fronted facade gleaming in the sun, punctuated with balconies. All of the bedrooms are bright, airy, elegant, very well equipped, many of which have sea views, and the balcony rooms are simply fabulous for sitting with a glass of something special whilst watching the many oceangoing craft. The hotel's bar has a real atmosphere reminiscent of a classy private members club the breakfast room has large, light-giving windows that are dressed with sumptuous drapes. The thoroughly professional, friendly and hospitable owners Ann and David, have created a warm, friendly, fabulous hotel in Shanklin. |
